Vice President JD Vance meets with officials from Pakistan, Qatar and Iran for talks in Lucerne, Switzerland as Iran threatened to close down the Strait of Hormuz after Israel’s strikes on Lebanon. Vice President JD Vance departed for Switzerland from Joint Base Andrews for U.S.-Iran negotiations, as tensions between Israel and Lebanon remained high. Iran said Saturday that the Strait of Hormuz is closed, citing ceasefire violations after Israel continued deadly strikes in southern Lebanon overnight.

Americans have spent an estimated $33 billion more in gas since the Iran war started. According to an NBC News analysis, drivers who fill up twice a month paid anywhere from $20 to $300 more for gas.

Americans are increasingly down on Trump’s handling of the war the U.S. started with Iran.
